The perfect stay-in-bed stretch and interview with Ofir, RN, CMT

Who knew that Ofir would use sneaky tricks to join the beauty and wellness industry. Plus she has a great tip - do this every morning before you get out of bed. And then let us know how your much better your body feels.

Ofir as a nurse was hired at an orthopedic surgeons office. At the ortho's she was trained by a physical therapist to treat the patients. This is where she discovered she could help people through massage and her passion for massage therapy began.

But she wanted to offer more than 10 to 15 minutes of massage. So she trained in massage therapy, combining her nursing knowledge.

Ofir will check out any new or trendy treatments. But she makes sure they offer true benefits. Only then will she get additional advanced training and offer it as a service.

On the podcast, Ofir recommended a morning stretch that helps open the psoas muscle that connects from your spine through your hip and thigh. And it's one you can do before you even get out of bed.

FYI: the psoas muscle group is affected by our hours of sitting, such as when we sit in front of our computer typing a blog post.

We had a lot of fun in this podcast. Who know Ofir was hilarious and could be so much fun. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Do you have any questions about massage, wellness or stretches? Let us know and we'd be happy to respond.

Happy Stretching,

Michelle

PS: Check out my fun diagram below of Ofirs' First Thing in the Morning Stretch. Please don't judge my drawing skills too harshly, I'm a better esthetician. But I think it covers the basics Ofir shared.
